RN-246-18 concrete sleeper
Prestressed concrete sleepers are installed in rail networks on a bed of ballast and function is to evenly transfer load from rolling stock to the ballast and hold the rail at the correct gauge. Concrete sleepers are comprised of steel wire, cement, supplementary cementitious materials, sand and aggregates along with chemical admixtures to aid production.
