Shock*Star Surface

Shock*Star Surface detonators are available in 12 delays from instantaneous (0 ms) to 200 ms. All detonators from Shock*Star Surface series are manufactured by the same company with the same major steps in the core processes.

Shock*Star Surface nonelectric delay detonators are designed for the initiation of other Shock Tube detonators and to provide a delay between holes for blasting in surface mines, in underground and construction sites. Shock*Star Surface detonators are equipped with connectors able to connect 8 outgoing Shock Tubes. Detonators have a reduced base charge to reduce noise levels and eliminate shrapnel cut-off concerns.

Detonators are manufactured at Austin Detonator´s detonator factory at Vsetín, Czech Republic. After production they are transported to the end customers where they are stored in suitable magazines, before being transported to a blasting site.

The detonator - delay 42 ms - is declared as a representative product, based on production volumes.

The representative detonator has a shock tube length 4.8 m.
