Needlepunched spunbond polyester nonwovens from recycled polyester
Needlepunched spunbond polyester nonwovens are a semi-finished product and cannot be used alone as waterproofing material in construction applications. Instead, they serve as raw materials in the subsequent production and forming process of rolled waterproofing sheets, functioning as the core reinforcement layer of asphalt waterproofing membranes.
Needlepunched spunbond polyester nonwovens are primarily composed of polyester chips, starch adhesive, acrylic emulsion, and multifunctional additives. The production process includes crystallization and drying of polyester chips, melt spinning, cooling and drawing, needle-punching reinforcement, hot-pressing for thickness calibration, glue impregnation, and finally winding and packaging of the finished product.
