Hardwood General Plywood (Shirakaba Plywood)
The hardwood general plywood (referred to in the overall summary as Shirakaba plywood) is manufactured using birch, Yachihan, and Yamahan either as single species or in mixed use, providing characteristics suitable for applications such as flooring substrates and decorative panel base materials. Birch, Yachihan, and Yamahan are tree species widely distributed in Hokkaido, and their dense and hard wood properties offer excellent processability. By using underutilized hardwood logs such as birch, Yachihan, and Yamahan—growing as miscellaneous trees within coniferous forests in Hokkaido, this product contributes to the sustainable utilization of forest resources and the development of regional forestry.
