Solid Welding Wire

Production of Solid welding wire is centralized at the Solid Welding Wire Division (Changshu Longteng Welding Materials Technology Co., Ltd.), covering an area of approximately 60,000 m² with an annual capacity of about 300,000 tons. The facility operates 96 wire drawing lines, 120 layer winding machines, 28 drum filling machines, 3 packaging systems, and related auxiliary equipment. The upstream raw material is wire rod supplied by Longteng.

Solid welding wire is a widely used material in welding applications, distinguished by its design and performance. A key feature is the use of a shielding gas—typically an inert gas such as argon—during welding to protect the weld pool from atmospheric oxygen and moisture, effectively reducing oxide formation and improving weld quality. The product is extensively applied in engineering machinery, steel structures, shipbuilding, container manufacturing, pressure vessels, petroleum pipelines, and offshore engineering. Available diameters include φ0.6, φ0.8, φ0.9, φ1.0, φ1.2, φ1.32, φ1.4, φ1.6, φ2.0, φ2.5, φ3.2, φ4.0, φ4.8 and φ5.0mm.
